Our process begins with a Zoom consultation—not just for you to get to know us, but for us to get to know you. We believe the best weddings are built on connection, trust, and shared vision. Your pricing in more on the expensive side than other options. Why?

We understand that budgets matter. Our pricing reflects decades of experience, our global reputation, a full-service bilingual team, and the level of artistry and service we bring. Every image is hand-edited. Every moment is considered. Every celebration is curated. We're not the most expensive, but we're certainly not average—and neither are our clients.

How many hours of planning are included?

For full wedding planning, we offer unlimited communication and coordination once the venue is secured. Elopements include 10–15 hours of planning time, including Zoom consultations, emails, and location research. If more hours are needed, we offer flexible add-ons tailored to your needs.

Do you provide video services?

Yes, we offer both photography and cinematography collections. Every film is crafted with a narrative focus, using audio, movement, and emotion to tell your story beautifully.

Do you edit all our photos?

Absolutely. Every delivered image is fully edited in our signature style. We never batch-process. Select images—especially those used for albums or press—are given an additional layer of polish during the retouching process.

Do we get the RAW files?

We don’t deliver RAW files as part of our collections, as they’re not a reflection of our finished work. However, if there’s a special circumstance, they can be purchased separately. Let’s discuss.

Do you offer albums?

Yes. We believe photographs are meant to be printed and held. Our custom-designed albums are printed on museum-quality paper and handcrafted by artisans. They're heirlooms built to last generations.

Where are you based and how far will you travel?

Our studio is in Shinjuku, Tokyo—but we work all across Japan and internationally. We travel frequently to Kyoto, Hokkaido, Okinawa, and Mount Fuji. We’ve also documented weddings in Italy, France, the USA, Bali, Australia, and beyond.

What’s the turnaround time for photos and videos?

Photo galleries are delivered within 4 weeks. Films typically take up to 12 weeks, depending on the season and the scope of coverage. We also offer express delivery upgrades for couples who need something sooner.

How many images will we receive?

Every wedding is different. For full-day coverage with a two phtographers, couples typically receive 1000+ final images. Elopements and smaller events vary depending on coverage length and logistics.

Can we print the images? What about copyright?

You’ll receive high-resolution JPEGs with a personal print release—so you can print, share, and celebrate to your heart’s content. Copyright remains with 37 Frames unless explicitly purchased (available for commercial clients or under special terms).

Can we speak with past clients?

Of course. Many of our couples are happy to share their experience working with us. We also feature detailed testimonials and stories on our blog and Instagram.

Do you offer help with attire or styling?

Yes. We can connect you with kimono specialists, hair and makeup artists, stylists, and accessories designers. From traditional looks to modern editorial style—we know just the right people.

Can we get married legally in Japan?

Yes. It’s possible for foreigners to legally marry in Japan, although the paperwork process varies by country. We’ll guide you through it—or, many couples choose to marry legally at home and celebrate symbolically in Japan.

Do you offer wedding planning only—without photography or film?

We specialize in full production, which includes photography and/or cinematography. This allows us to maintain creative cohesion, seamless communication, and the elevated standard of service we’re known for—from the first email to the final image.

Japan is a beautifully unique country—but it doesn’t operate like other wedding destinations. Trust and long-standing relationships mean everything here. Over decades, we’ve cultivated a network of venues and partners who work with us because of the mutual respect we’ve built. Introducing unfamiliar vendors can sometimes disrupt that flow.
